Busy Much??
Yeah. Thought so. My friends, my clients, and mySELF find ourselves in this crazy stage of mid-life where our schedules can feel out of control and we’re pulled in all different directions. Our energy feels drained. Our bodies ache a little more. We’re not quite as “tight” as we once were. And our hormones and schedules feel anything but “balanced”.
For one reason or another, we’ve found ourselves without the grounding force of a routine exercise program. We know we SHOULD move. We actually WANT to move. But getting back into it feels a little overwhelming. We’re not sure where to start.
We need something SMARTER than the burpees of our 20’s, when ANYTHING worked.
We need something more STRATEGIC than just an exercise class or a youtube workout to get us hot and sweaty. Because, for Pete’s sake, there’s plenty of hot and sweaty these days, amiright?
And we need something STRONGER than a yoga session or walk around the block to build our metabolisms, our bones, and our ability to feel young as we age.
And that’s why I created Strong and Flexy. I wanted to help the busy, maxxed out woman in this unique phase of life have a program that was just for her; one that could fit into the demands of her busy schedule, make her stronger, make her flexier, and also progress her strength, intensity, skills, and move-ability in a way that would that would also build her body confidence.

What to Expect
Workouts are designed to offer 3 full body workouts each week that will clock in at 30 minutes or less to suit the busy woman who is starting or restarting a strength and mobility program.
The program is delivered via an app where you’ll receive video instruction for every exercise assigned. Workouts and exercise instruction can be accessed on the app for 7 months.
This is a progressive program. Participants are expected to complete each of the three workouts in each phase at least 3 times before moving on to the next phase. Access is granted to the app for 7 months to complete the 6 month program. If it takes longer than 7 months to complete the program and additional time is desired, users will be granted access at a discount for $35/month. All participants will receive a document with the video links at the end of the program regardless.
Users also benefit from a degree of accountability from me as their trainer. I will be tracking each individual’s journey and progress within the app, and will personally “check-in” periodically. Strong & Flexy Waitlisters will also be eligible to opt-in for one-on-one coaching sessions if extra support, coaching, or modifications are desired. But regardless, I’ll be monitoring consistency and will advance individuals to the next phase of workouts when the requirements are met at each stage.
Suggested Equipment & The Why Behind
Progressive Dumbbells. A priority of this program is progression and strength. Yes, we all have to start somewhere, but I want there to be an opportunity for progressions in strength. And if we’re going to be effective & efficient in our workouts, we’re going to have to focus on the larger muscle groups of the legs, glutes, upper back, chest, and shoulders. These muscles groups are strong and they’ll progress quickly, so they need to have ample load to progress past plateaus. Even most beginners are eventually going to need weights that progress them towards a total load of 50 pounds for stronger lifts over the course of 6 months – 1 year. So incremental dumbbells ranging from 5-25 pounds or space-saving adjustable dumbbells are really helpful to own.
Incremental Handled Bands. Bands are great because they’re packable for travel, take up little space, relatively inexpensive, and give us a resistance tool that’s easy on the joints and offers faster recovery - all key components for a woman on the go.
Loop Bands
In Strong & Flexy, we emphasize strength of the core, which definitely includes the hips and glutes. This is why I require loop “booty” bands. This resistance tool is really effective in first even helping us “find” and connect to our glutes, and when we do that, we very quickly begin to take pressure and load off our lower backs, reducing the potential for pain and injury.
Stability ball
Many of my clients don’t have designated space for a weight bench. They’re heavy and can be difficult to store away. A great option that I do require for the Strong & Flexy program is a stability ball. I find it to actually be more versatile than a bench for lying and seated exercises, but the “instability” factor that it offers adds a progressive element for our core strength, another key goal for the program.
TRX/Suspension Trainer
The TRX is not a required tool for the Strong & Flexy program, though it is recommended. For this program it’s especially helpful for two reasons. For one, it’s a great beginner tool who need support getting into full range with challenging movements like squats, splits stances, and lunges. Secondly, it’s also a great progressive tool, especially for a home-based program that wants to focus on pulling movements and posture health. You can absolutely use towels and sheets to creatively improvise some of the movements we’ll do in the program, but most of my clients enjoy the grip comfort and variety of exercises the TRX provides.
Hi, I'm Erin, your coach!
I’m Erin Henry, and I’m so PUMPED to bring you Strong & Flexy! This program has been a long-time in the making. After 20+ years of helping busy women navigate their fitness with one-on-one coaching, I wanted to create an offer that would elicit the same valuable results of working with a personal training trainer without the time and financial commitment. I wanted a program she could progressively grow with, one that would work with her busy schedule, and also offer the specific focus areas of strength and mobility that I see as necessary but often lacking in other home-based routines out in the market.
I also took into account the age and life stage of the Strong and Flexy woman. It was crucial to strike the perfect balance to meet the needs of busy women in mid-life, considering their daily stressors and schedules. This balance encompasses a blend of work and recovery, autonomy and accountability, as well as strength and mobility. Each of these aspects was meticulously considered not only to support hormone balance but also to ensure consistent progress for long-term success.
And finally, every service that I offer is built upon the pillars of SYSTEMIZATION, SIMPLIFICATION, and STRENGTH to help the busy, maxxed out woman elevate her health habits and build her confidence. Strong & Flexy streamlines your fitness journey, providing clear daily guidance to propel you towards your goals. While we sculpt your body to its strongest, most vibrant form, our ultimate aim is to amplify your presence in the world. We're here to help you grow BIGGER, not smaller; to build your confidence to take up MORE space in the world, not less.
These are the true intentions of why I do what I do and how I help every woman I’m so lucky to serve. I can’t wait to see you step into your bigness…one lunge at a time. 😉
